on't let the distance stop you because we provide FREE, safe transport to your home! If you like long legged, graceful, athletic, love-bugs then Tori is just who you've been looking for! Tori is a gorgeous young lady with short honey-colored hair and the most beautiful green eyes you've even gazed into! She has a slight chocolate saddle which accentuates her girlish figure and a smile that will make any supermodel jealous! This sweet girl loves the water and will happily accompany you on trips to the beach, lake, or even splash around with you in a splash pool. Tori likes to play with other dogs but her most favorite thing in the world is playing with and being near her humans, even kind children! As if all this isn't enough, Tori has brains in addition to her beauty - she's smart, focused, and highly trainable! But most of all she's a wonderful girl who wants to be a part of a family or have a special person to call her own. Tori's estimated DOB is November 2010 and she weighs approximately 40 lbs. ***This beautiful dog is currently in the shelter in Tennessee but has received full vet care and we will provide FREE volunteer transport to a foster or forever home…please don’t let that stop you from adopting! We are accepting applications to ADOPT OR FOSTER each of the Tennessee dogs listed so they can get out of the shelter. **Sea Dog Rescue is a foster home based rescue - we do not have a shelter or kennel facility nor do we have regular hours when our companions can be seen. For the safety of our foster caregivers and our dogs, applications must be submitted and references checked prior to setting an appointment for a Meet and Greet with our dogs in our foster homes.** All of our dogs have some potty training under their belly, however, dogs less than 8 months of age are not considered reliably potty trained. Most of our dogs less than 6 months of age are not yet spayed or neutered but this will be done by the rescue when they are 6 months old and is included in the adoption fee; these dogs enter homes as "Foster to Adopt" and ownership transfer will not occur until after surgical sterilization is completed. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, including rabies if they are old enough. Microchipping is included in the adoption fee. Adoption fee covers: All age appropriate Vaccinations, including rabies (if old enough) Worming Flea treatment Spay or neuter surgery Pre-surgical blood work Post-surgical pain management Microchip Sea Dog Rescue provides safe transport of all our animals to their new homes

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
