nce in the world, but it will make a world of difference to the dog!! SAVE A LIFE - RESCUE All Breed Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to rescuing dogs of all breeds and finding good homes for them. If you are interesting in adopting an animal on this site, simply contact one of the persons listed in our contact information. Interested in fostering a rescued dog? Take a moment to read a message from one of our foster owners... Wonder why we do rescue? This letter says it all... Contact Information You can contact any of us for more information about the dogs or about All Breed Rescue Mary 12826 13th St. Yucaipa, CA 92399 (909) 795.4867 email: allbreeddogrescue1@verizon.net All Breed rescues all breeds of dogs from a variety of locations in Southern California. Although we can't always provide very much information about our dogs, we can verify that they are neutered and current on their vaccinations. The adoption process involves an application, adoption agreement and possible home inspection. Looking for a Dog? We have many dogs, many are pure-bred. See our available dogs by going to www.adoptapet.com and entering this zip code: 92399 OR find us on Facebook at: facebook.com/AllBreedDogRescue Rescue Hours: You can visit our available dogs at the kennel by appointment only from 10 to 4 during the week. Please call during business hours (8-5, M-F) *before* coming out to visit. Weekend Adoption Events We are now only having adoption shows at the Riverside/Moreno Valley Petco but we are there both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 3:00. The PETCO is located at 2630 Canyon Springs Parkway Riverside, CA 92507 951-697-8060 You can call the kennel at 909 795 4867 to make sure we will be available, and to check on any other adoption times we may be offering. (Please do not bring us dogs you want us to take, this is an adoption time.) Bonus Benefit: All adopted dogs are eligible for two months of free "shelter care". Policies purchased from the banner at the top of the page also help our shelter. All adoptees are neutered and current on their vaccinations. No other health guarantee is given or implied. We do not always know the background of the pet you are adopting. If the dog is already housebroken or crate trained, consider yourself lucky. If not, it is your responsibility to train this dog yourself. These animals are living pets, and much like children they need attention, love, and discipline. If you are not willing to do this, please do not adopt a living pet. A stuffed animal for your bed or a ceramic animal for your shelf is more appropriate. IF YOU CANNOT ADOPT THE DOG YOURSELF, IT CAN BE SPONSORED UNTIL A PERMANENT HOME CAN BE FOUND. TO HELP SPONSOR A DOG PLEASE CONTACT US. THANK YOU PLEASE REMEMBER, IF YOU ADOPT A FURRY FRIEND, ITS YOURS FOR LIFE! TO CARE FOR AND LOVE FOR ALL ITS YEARS... ** PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE ** Help Us By Saving Your IAMs or Pedigree Proof of Purchase! If you use IAMs or Pedigree pet food, please consider saving the proof of purchase and sending it to us. We can use these for coupons which allow us to purchase pet foods at a reduced cost. Please mail the proof of purchase to: All Breed Rescue 12826 13th St. Yucaipa, CA 92399 Remember: in addition to doing good deeds and spreading the word for the voiceless, your donations are entirely tax-deductable. Here are some ideas to get you started... A Washer and Dryer for Blankies We desperately need a washing machine and gas-powered clothes dryer. With the cold weather and winter rains our old machines are not going to last the season. If you're upgrading to a washer or new clothes dryer - don't have the old one hauled away, we'll take it and put it to good use! Can you spare a dime, or more? A financial donation of any kind helps many dogs in many ways. Skip your morning latte for week, donate your spare change — every little bit helps. Presents for Pooches If you prefer to donate items, we have a list and we've checked it twice...things our rescue doggies need, none naughty, all nice. The best part is that all of your donations are tax-deductible, so it helps you too! See what we need... Mops, and Buckets, and Soap, Oh My! We always we need cleaning supplies, and lots of bleach. Mop heads, brooms, etc. Have a favorite cleaner? Give us a bottle so we can test it out. Someone to Install a Shining Light Help us bring light to our kennels. You read correctly: we do not have electricity (or light) in 2/3 of our kennels. Are you an electrician who loves dogs or do you know of one? Read more... ...and Be Our Sanitation Salvation Embarassing, but true: we need a toilet. We have a location, but we don't have a potty or someone who can install it. A bit of drywall would be awfully nice, too. If plumbing is your biz, we need to talk. Please call (909) 795-4867 right away. Our back teeth are floating! Shop for Yourself - and Help Us. Need a new collar, sweater, or just looking for something fun? All of your purchases help us! Go Shopping... Blankets & Towels Needed... 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
