I really want to be friends and will wag my little tail to let you know how excited I am to see you. Although I am a bit shy, I do like to get attention, especially when the other dogs are getting attention. I am close by, but am still timid so keep just out of reach. I know with some patience and time I will learn to trust people. When my people walk by, I will lay down and let my foster mom pick me up. She will carry me around and tell me everything will be ok. I love when she talks to me in a gentle voice. We are working on all the important socialization skills. Potty training is a work in progress – and I do need a fence in my forever home as I don’t have a lot of leash experience. I do need another dog in my forever home to help me build confidence and learn to trust people. Having another confident and social dog will help me get on a routine – because I know I can follow the leader! When we go to obedience school together I know we will learn lots of new things and it will be a great opportunity for us to bond and build confidence. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.
