re you the lucky adopter who will welcome this beautiful 5-year-old into your home? This is one amazing Malinois! She was brought in as a stray, but she is smitten with people and truly loves her freedom. She is respectful of the home: furnishings, clothing, and shoes seem to be safe. Sachi absolutely LOVES to snuggle with her foster mom and will not let an afternoon pass without accompanying FM to the bus stop to meet the young human.. Within a week and a half of arrival, Sachi learned sit, paw, place, free, and crate. She will also hop from place to place on command . Her leash manners continue to improve, and she is superb when passing other dogs on her walks. Sachi will need to be introduced to other dogs slowly and in controlled environments as she prefers to co-exist rather than rough-house. She also expects other dogs to read her body language and approach respectfully. She succeeds with parallel walks with the resident female Malinois as long as they give her a little space, and she does well in the same room indoors with the resident Mal who is respectful of her “do not engage” signals.. Sachi will not be placed with another dog who expects play or who has dominant tendencies, and she will honestly be perfectly happy if you are a one dog kind of person. This will allow her to spend all of her time devoted to you and you to her. Sachi currently lives with a double-digit aged child and has consistently spent time with children aged 6 years and above who are Malinois savvy. Her prey drive is such that she cannot be adopted out to a family with small critters or tiny-tot humans. To keep her physical fitness in tip-top shape and support her need for super snuggle speed , Sachi spends time walking or running up to 2 miles with her foster mom.
