k Connoisseur Just like his namesake from the Gremlins movie, Gizmo is full of charm, mischief (the sweet kind), and heart-melting cuteness—but don’t worry, this little guy doesn’t turn into a gremlin after midnight. In fact, he sleeps through the night like a perfect gentleman! Gizmo is a one-year-old Pekingese mix with a big personality packed into a small, fluffy body. He’s incredibly friendly, loves to meet new people, and will happily climb into your lap for snuggles—because, let’s be honest, he was born to be a lap dog. He does have a bit of energy, as he is a young dog He would love another dog in the home to be his playmate but would be great as an only dog too His favorite hobby? Stick hunting! Whether it’s in the backyard or on a walk, Gizmo is always on the lookout for the perfect stick to claim as his own. Once he finds it, he’ll settle down like a little forest gremlin and chew to his heart's content. He also loves playing with balls and toys! Gizmo was found as a stray with a cut on his back, but thanks to lots of love and care, he’s made a full recovery. He does have a cool scar to show for it—but don't worry, there are no scars on his heart. He’s all love and wiggly tail wags. He’s food-motivated (a great trait for training!), still working on his potty manners, and getting better every day. With some patience and a few tasty treats, he’s well on his way to becoming fully house trained. Looking for a sweet, snuggly, slightly magical pup with a heart of gold and a love for sticks? Gizmo might just be your Mogwai match. All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
