Mei, a sweet and affectionate young dog who is ready to find her family. At about 18 months old and weighing 55 pounds, this brown and tan Doberman/Kelpie/Pit mystery mix is the perfect combination of playful energy and snuggly lovebug. Don’t let her breed mix fool you, Mei is truly a lover, not a fighter, and she has a heart full of affection to share. When Mei first arrived, she was sickly, shy, and unsure of herself, but she has blossomed into a happy, playful pup who adores her toys. In fact, you’ll often find her carrying one (or sometimes more!) around the house. She also loves her crate—as long as the door stays open—and will often put herself to bed or curl up there to play with her favorite toys. One of Mei’s most endearing traits is just how loving she is. She adores hugs, freely gives kisses, and is happiest when she’s close to her people. She rides beautifully in the car, walks well on a leash, and is mostly house-trained, improving each day. While she’s still a little unsure around other dogs, she’s shown she can live peacefully with cats and does wonderfully meeting new people. Mei would thrive as the center of your attention, where she can soak up all the love and attention she so deserves. With her gentle spirit, playful personality, and affectionate nature, Mei will make a loyal and joyful companion to the lucky family who welcomes her in. Like many humans, Mei has allergies and is on a special diet to help with this. She came to us a few months ago with no fur and in rough condition, but with medical care and good food she has turned into a beautiful girl!
