weighing 18 pounds, with the longest little body, short legs, and an adorable underbite that makes her extra endearing. She is a playful, medium-energy dog who is still a bit skittish but is slowly learning that life indoors can be safe and fun. Dory loves squeaky toys, chewing on bones, wrestling with other dogs, and even sneaking a little popcorn when she gets the chance. She has the cutest tail wag and a perky, joyful personality that shines brighter each day. She is treat motivated, sleeps soundly in her crate, and is doing well with a potty schedule, even using the doggie door on her own. Her coat is still filling in after her time on the streets, but with care and love she is blossoming into a healthy, happy pup.
Dory is most comfortable with other dogs and thrives in their company, often taking her cues from them. She enjoys being near people, though she is still nervous about being touched and will need patience and understanding while she builds trust. She is shy with strangers, but her love for dog friends helps her come out of her shell. Dory is learning leash skills and rides quietly in a crate in the car. She would do best in a calm, patient home with at least one other dog, where she can continue to gain confidence and show off her playful side. With time, routine, and encouragement, Dory will reward her people with a cheerful spirit, endless doggy games, and that irresistibly cute wagging tail.
