se refer to Ernie though when inquiring about me as that’s the name all my records are under). I was adopted a few years ago, but when my owner had to move into assisted living, I couldn’t go along. Thankfully, Mostly Mutts welcomed me back with open arms, and now they’re helping me find another wonderful home to call my own! I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not care for the male dogs, but I co-existed with the mellow females. If you have a mellow-natured female that doesn’t really care to play, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. I think I would also be happy as your only dog, so that’s fine, too! / No cats for me as I saw one on a walk and reacted negatively. / I wasn’t around kids in my former home, but I did meet kids at Mostly Mutts around 10 years old. I didn’t really pay attention to them, so if you have calm-natured kids around 10 years old, let’s meet!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’ve spent the past couple of years in a calm and quiet home with my person, and I think I’d enjoy that kind of environment again. Though I was stressed when I first arrived back at Mostly Mutts, I’ve really settled in and now I’m showing what a sweet, calm, and friendly guy I am. I enjoy playtime and can be a bit curious about the great outdoors, so keeping an eye on doors is important — I’ve been known to be a little escape artist, and I don’t want to get lost or hurt. Overall, I’m a super sweet, quiet, and playful good boy who’s ready to bring lots of love to my new family. / My energy level is 4-6, with typically short bursts of energy.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, and ‘place’ commands and I also walk nicely on a leash. I can’t wait to learn even more! Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and were good in my former home, too. / My potty manners have been good at Mostly Mutts, in a temporary foster home I visited, and were also good in my former home.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play and especially love it when fetching a ball is involved – but I will shred some stuffed toys, so just keep an eye on that. I like attention from people and will come to you requesting it. In my temp. foster home, I enjoyed observing the neighbors in their yard from the front window, walks in the neighborhood, and cuddling once I was comfortable with my temp. foster. I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together. / The trucks and loud vehicles that pass me on my walks make me nervous and I bark loudly and lunge at them, so please keep a good hold of my leash and let’s find a quieter place to walk. I whine while riding in the car. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I need to stick to a lamb-based diet, so I’m eating Purina Lamb & Rice. There are several lamb-based foods out there to choose from, but please stick with lamb as I just won’t eat anything else – trust me, the folks at Mostly Mutts tried and I just lost weight. Lamb-based makes me happy and helps me maintain a healthy weight.
I am looking for a wonderful calm home with a loving family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
