. We don’t know what happened but she was brought into the shelter with a damaged eye and a limp. The limp is now gone. It appears to have been caused by a break that hadn’t been set properly . It has now healed and she runs like the wind! Her eye was also damaged. We had it removed and she’s doing great just like any other dog.
While people might want to call her “special needs”, Jeannie isn’t any different than a 2 eyed dog . Jeannie walks, jumps, climbs like any pup.
Since finding her way to our rescue , she has bloomed into a wonderful and affectionate companion. From the start, Jeannie has shown an undeniable love for all people and other dogs seeking companionship and connection with all.
If you're looking for a dog who not only appreciates the affection of her family but also shares a heartwarming story of resilience and love, Jeannie is the perfect addition to your home. She's not just a dog,?she's a testament to the transformative power of compassion and care. We would love to see her join a family with another respectful companion.
Like all dogs, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. She needs to work on potty training. We recommend training for all dogs —not only to give Jeannie important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together.
Jeannie is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. She is negative for heart worm and tick borne disease . Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption fee is $600..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Jeannie wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse!
