es in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applicationscarolinapoodlerescue with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 12/23/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Elvis is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Elvis is a goldendoodle. He sheds a lot. Weight: 58 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? No - but he would love one. What kind of home would be best for me? Elvis enjoys playing with other dogs and does well around them, but if given the choice, he would happily spend his entire day right by your side. He is very people-centered and would be perfectly content as an only dog, soaking up all the love and connection his person has to offer. We think Elvis would do well in a home with older children or teens who can respect his gentle nature, but he would be just as happy in a quieter home with a single person or couple. What matters most to Elvis is being included—he wants to go wherever you go and be part of your everyday life. What is my personality like? Elvis is a 3-year-old Goldendoodle with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. He came to us from a kind gentleman who adored him but was struggling to find housing where Elvis could stay with him. It’s clear how deeply Elvis was loved, and that love shines through in his affectionate, trusting nature. Elvis is a sweet, kind boy who thrives on attention and companionship. One of Elvis’s favorite things is car rides. He absolutely loves the car and is always ready to hop in and head off on the next adventure, no matter the destination. Having lived in a home before, Elvis is familiar with the rhythms of household life and transitions easily into a home environment. He is crate trained and goes into his crate willingly, making him an easy and adaptable companion. While he walks fairly well on leash, he would benefit from a refresher to help polish those skills. How do I act when I first meet new people? If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be your shadow and your travel buddy, Elvis may be the perfect match. Other tips and tidbits: Elvis's birthday is 08/17/2022 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
