debut! This handsome little guy is a Pomeranian / Chihuahua mix, weighing in at a petite 5 lbs, and he is now neutered and vetted, which means he’s cleared and ready to find his forever home. Jack’s foster journey has been one of growth, confidence, and plenty of puppy charm. When he first arrived, he was scared and unsure—but within hours, he began to blossom. He quickly learned the lay of the land, started pottying outside, and even conquered the stairs to the couch (which he proudly claims for naps). Jack is very smart for a puppy and is doing really well with potty training. While he’s not 100% yet, he understands the routine, goes outside frequently, and continues to improve every single day. He’s also making great progress with crate training nearly sleeping through the night and almost going into his crate on command. This little guy is affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to his people. Jack is a phenomenal sidekick who will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. He has a playful, energetic personality and enjoys zooming through the house, exploring every smell, and attempting to recruit his foster siblings for playtime. Jack loves toys, tiny training treats, cozy dog beds, and has a healthy appetite for a growing pup. He’s learning basic commands like “drop it,” is motivated to learn more, and is getting used to everyday experiences like baths, nail trims, car rides, and new environments. Jack is dreaming of his forever home—one with patience, love, and someone looking for a loyal, kind, fun-loving companion. If you’re ready for a new best friend to kick off your next chapter, Jack is ready to walk the runway straight into your heart. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
