riginally rehomed due to his owner moving. The family to whom he was rehomed quickly realized he was not the right fit for them. Grizzly was said to be jealous of the other dogs in the home and did not get along with the senior dog. Since they had had that dog since it was a puppy, they did not find it fair to him to keep Grizzly. Grizzly was only in their care for less than 24 hours and was said to have previously gotten along well with other dogs. It is very important that slow, safe, and controlled introductions are made. We also encourage his next owner to look into the Rule of 3 when bringing a new pet home. Grizzly is a little underweight and it would be wise to initially feed him separately from other pets to help set him up for success. Grizzly was said to have only growled at the other dogs and made no attempt to nip or snap. However, it was noted that he would chase cats and should go to a home without feline friends. Grizzly was said to do wonderfully with the children in the home and great with adults! He was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog! They also said that he was housebroken and rides well in a vehicle! Grizzly would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and build his confidence.
