At around a year old and 73 lbs, he’s still got that fun, playful energy, but it’s balanced out with a really sweet, gentle nature. He’s the kind of dog who will run and play outside, then happily settle in and just hang with his people.
The vibe:
• Loves people, including small kids
• Great with other dogs, cats, and even farm animals
• Big fan of being outside, especially in cooler weather
• Playful and active, but not over the top
• Takes treats super gently, total softie
• Enjoys chew toys, antlers, and bones
• Rides well in the car and is learning fast
He’s got a solid appetite, a happy spirit, and a personality that makes him incredibly easy to love. Whether it’s running around the yard, going on adventures, or just being your sidekick, Polar Bear is all in.
He’d do best in a home that can give him space to stretch his legs, keep him active, and let him be part of the family. He’s the kind of dog that fits in just about anywhere because his temperament is that good.

This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
