Reyna’s story is one of resilience, courage, and an unbreakable spirit.
At just 6 months old, Reyna was abandoned outside the NYC ACC—left tied up, alone, frightened, and in pain. When staff found her, they discovered she had an untreated broken leg and was fighting parvo, a life-threatening illness that is especially dangerous for puppies. Despite everything stacked against her, Reyna never gave up.
With urgent medical care and an incredible will to live, Reyna made a full recovery from parvo. Sadly, her injured leg could not be saved, but Reyna hasn’t let that slow her down for a second... and you'd actually be surprised how fast and easily this girl gets around.
Through it all, she has remained full of love, joy, and personality despite her compact tripod frame.
Reyna is delightfully sassy and full of spunk. This girl is playful, affectionate, eager, and always ready to make the most out of her days. She loves romping around with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion who enjoys her rough-and-tumble play style. She enjoys playing fetch, tug, and puzzle games.
Reyna is a natural velcro pup, content following you room to room, she'll quickly become your shadow and prefers to be close by at all times so she's sure not to miss out on anything. Reyna is always happy to curl up on the couch or in bed with you and likes to squeeze into the tiniest spot between you and the couch, making herself super snug.
Despite her young age, Reyna doesn't need to go all day. She's content with a few short play sessions in the yard and then just wants to be with her people and her canine pals.
Reyna is house trained, knows "sit", "come", snd "crate" and is eager to learn other tricks and commands, as long as tasty treats are offered in exchange... She's very driven by food and a quick learner.
This girl is smart, determined, and most importantly, Reyna refuses to let her past define her. Now, Reyna is searching for the forever family she has always deserved — one that will cherish her exactly as she is and give her the safe, happy life she’s waited so patiently for. In return, she’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and laughter.
