ller dog, but with people she has been nothing but gentle, loving, and eager to connect. Riley is one of those dogs who simply doesn’t thrive in a shelter environment, and moving into a foster home has made all the difference for her.
When she first arrived, Riley was nervous and didn’t want to come out of her room. With patience, routine, and kindness, she slowly opened up—and now she greets her foster family each day with a wagging tail, and the cuddliest personality you could ask for. She’s relaxing more every day, showing her silly side, and truly blossoming now that she feels safe. Even so, she still needs a forever home to call her own.
Riley has been dog‑tested and did well with a calm dog her size, but she’s not a match for high‑energy dogs or small animals. Because of her past, she’ll need a home without cats and without children under 5.
Riley is currently taking Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety. This medication cannot be stopped without veterinary approval, and any changes to her treatment plan should be made under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian.

Dogs: Preventatives for parasites, vaccines (Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip, behavioral assessment.
Cats: Parasite treatment, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming for kittens, vaccines (Distemper, Rabies), spay/neuter, microchip.
What You’ll Take Home:
Toys, treats, and food sample
Rabies tag, microchip number, and medical records
A “Pet Pal Packet” with feeding info, training tips, and guidance for helping your new pet adjust
