His foster family has been teaching him how to swim; they ADORE Aza and would like to keep him, but they just adopted a different PJ’s Rescue dog, so Aza is still available. Aza plays well with other dogs after introductions are made, but he can have some reactivity towards random dogs. He is learning the “leave it” command on walks whenever encountering squirrels, rabbits, and barking dogs. He thrives with strong, fair, and consistent leadership. Aza doesn’t require any medications and has no known allergies. Aza does best with older children and able adults who can handle his size and power. He may be a bit too much around toddlers or younger kids. His compatibility with cats is unknown. Aza will form a strong bond with his family, while being bark-ready if strangers enter the home or yard. He settles quickly if the owner shows that a person belongs there.
