Mutt

A mongrel, mixed-breed dog

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.

Jack Chi

The Jack Chi is a mix between the Chihuahua and the Jack Russell Terrier. They can have the temperament of either breed and will make a good pet in the right situation.

Cavapom

The Cavapom is a cross between an Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Pomeranian. The Cavapom is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Pomeranian. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Cavapom are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. The EngAm Bulldog is a cross between the English and American Bulldogs. They have a temperament similar to those parent breeds.

Havamalt

The Havamalt is a cross between an Havanese and a Maltese. The Havamalt is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Havanese and a Maltese. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Havamalt are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. French Bulldog

The French Bulldog is low key and enjoys lots of activity. He's well suited for either family living or attaching to just one special person. He can be a great watchdog, although will bark only when there is a real need.

The Chug is a mix between the Chihuahua and the Pug. Both breeds need to be near their owners. Chugs are best for owners who are home most of the day.

Rat-Cha

The Rat-Cha is a mix between the Chihuahua and the Rat Terrier. Both breeds are loyal companions who crave time with their master.

Border Collie

Scottish Sheep Dog, Welsh sheep dog

The Border Collie enjoys working; if not actually herding sheep, he needs to be in the company of an athletic owner who will allow him to work out often. He's intelligent and eager to please, so makes a fine companion for active and attentive owners.
