Doberman Pinscher
Doberman
Though Doberman Pinschers are large dogs, they are very graceful and a joy to behold. These make great watch dogs and companions, as they are brave and alert to any possible danger.
Cocker Spaniel
American Cocker Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel
The Cocker Spaniel is one of the most popular breeds in America. They're playful, love people, and adapt to both city and country dwelling. A Cocker needs a lot of exercise, but you'll find it a joy to have around!
Rottweiler
Rott, Rottie
The Rottweiler may seem aloof, but he is a brave and intelligent worker. He performs well in outdoor sports and is a faithful companion and guardian.
French Bulldog
Bouledogue Français, Frenchie
The French Bulldog is low key and enjoys lots of activity. He's well suited for either family living or attaching to just one special person. He can be a great watchdog, although will bark only when there is a real need.
Cock-A-Poo-Yorkshire Terrier
This breed is a cross between an Yorkshire Terrier and a Cock-A-Poo. This breed is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Yorkshire Terrier and a Cock-A-Poo. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the it are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.
Goldendoodle
The Goldendoodle is a mix between the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. This breed is a good choice for families.
Portuguese Water Dog
Cão de Água Português, Cão de Água Algarvio
The Portuguese Water Dog is a very fun-loving breed. They do not shed, thus making them a low-maintenance breed. They're very playful and, as their name implies, they love to play in the water. Suitable for both city and country living.
Mutt
A mongrel, mixed-breed dog
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
Labrador Retriever
Labrador, Lab
The Labrador Retriever is probably America's favorite dog. He is playful (well into his adult years) and is often seen as a lifelong friend.
Schnauzer (Miniature)
Zwergschnauzer, Dwarf Schnauzer, Miniature Schnauzer, Mini Schnauzer
The Miniature Schnauzer is playful and spunky breed. They love being the center of attention and reward their owners with loyalty and affection.
