    Juno

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Vacaville, CA
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (medium coat). Adopting A Shelter Dog These dogs come without background histories/ past medical information. We present these dogs as we have observed in relationship to age, size, breed, behavior, housebreaking, crate training, good with children, cats, dogs, and strangers. Dogs may present themselves differently in different environments, therefore The Dog Spot Rescue, their agents, volunteers, can not guarantee behavior, age, size expectations, breed, house Training, destructive behavior tendencies, and/or medical issues. All dogs from shelters have been subjected to pathogens from the shelter level which can materialize into disease in the future. Each adopter must observe for themselves pre-adoption and make decisions for themselves the suitability of said dog and their tolerance levels for transitional time when adopting a shelter dog. We ask that each adopter take their time when making the choice to bring home a rescued dog. Adoption is $400.00 and includes her spay, shots, rabies, heart worm test, bordetella, de worming treatment and a chip. She comes with a two week post adoption trial. Juno is a exceptional Husky. We have very much enjoyed her here as our guest. She does not dig nor jump fences. She has energy but will mirror yours. She can be a couch potato when you want her to or she can play ball, run on the trails with you, hike, frolic in the ocean. She has been good with dogs tall and small here but does not want to share her food with other dogs. She really is not interested in being a companion dog for another dog but prefers a human companion that she will be come a soul mate to. Juno is decent on the leash but you still need to be physically fit to enjoy a Husky breed. She will LOVE you with her whole being. Juno will wrap herself around you, look up at you adoringly and give you a big "WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO" in Husky talk. Adoption is $400.00 and includes her basic exam, spay, shots, rabies, heart worm test, bordetella vaccine, heart worm test (negative) de worming and a chip. If interested in adopting, please fill out an on line application at: thedogspot.rescuegroups.org and then contact us by e-mail at: thedogspotrescue@aol.com to arrange a meet and greet appointment. She comes with a two week post adoption trial. Juno has been waiting to meet you and has big paws crossed! Your Adoption Fee covers the following expenses: Spay/Neuter, DHLPP, Bordatella, Rabies (if age appropriate), De-worming and Frontline/Advantage Please Note: Shelter/rescue dogs have been exposed to many pathogens such as kennel cough, parasites, diseases and conditions some of which may not have been discovered prior to adoption. Any dog that shows symptoms here at TDS are routinely identified, taken for tests and treatment. Our vet bills can exceed $10,000 a month. However, without symptoms, we may miss a disease, or pre-existing condition or parasite. Consider carefully if you have the tolerance for these possibilities. We consider, you, the adopters, the last leg of the rescue process.

Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute. Thank you for stopping by to see me! Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting. If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescue@petml.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** FUN CITY DOGS Saturday, April 22nd from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm 2213 Snelling Ave, Minneapolis MN – http://www.funcitydogs.com/ DOB: 1/4/14 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area I am Juneau and I am about 3 years old and 39 pounds. I am one lovable and sweet gal. I am happy all the time and I love pets! I can't get enough of them. Life in a home is new to me and it is very exciting! I discovered toys and I love them! I am currently in love with a stuffed elephant. And I love to fetch! I have learned so much already and proven to be one smart cookie! I have also proven that I am a typical husky and will take into consideration what you want me to do. Sometimes I will do it or I may howl at you and walk away. I always wag my tail through it all - silly girl! I almost potty trained and haven't taken long to learn it how it goes. I even go to the door when I need to to the bathroom. I'm very praise and food motivated, so training me has been a cinch! I love to please my family and can be found jumping and howling when I'm told I am a good girl. I actually am a pretty quiet pup, though sometimes I will make some noise in my kennel because I don't like to be alone. Being around my family is the best! Going on walks makes me soooooo happy! I haven't quiet figured out the process yet, but I don't pull or freeze. I wear a harness and do great! They have been teaching me down, sit, stop, and kennel. It took me less than a day to figure out the routine of the house and I fit in great! I think I will fit into your home great, too! My foster family says I am a easy pup to take care of and a lot of fun. I like to "talk" to my family and it's pretty adorable. I would be great in a home with or without other dogs. If there is another dog, I would love if they were playful like me and around my size, so we could be best friends and play together. What do you think about all that? Do you think we are a match!? I hope so! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Please understand that all of our pets are in foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please email us to confirm attendance. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Bodie

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (long coat). Bodie is a 4-year-old 125 lb neutered male Malamute. Bodie walks great on leash, knows most basic commands, responds excellently to pressure correction and is eager to please but needs a strong leader that won’t let him take control but knows how to work with him. He has been going to daycare and has learned a lot of manners and that most other dogs are fun to play with. He does not however, like cats. Bodie will need a dedicated adopter who will agree to continued training and daycamp for at least 2 days a week for the next 2 months for a smooth transition. Bodie loves to be with people and be involved in family life but does enjoy sunning himself outside on the deck once he is confident he can come in when he wants. He does love children but will need older kids due to his size.True to all malamutes, Bodie likes to talk and howl. While it is pretty to hear, no apartment living would be okay since the neighbors may not enjoy it.

    Liam

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Baby
    Location: Dodson, MT
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute / Border Collie (medium coat). Liam is a sweet, cuddly boy born on March 4, 2017. Our best guess is that his mom is a Border Collie mix and dad a Malamute or German Shepherd. Regardless of his genetic make up, Liam is absolutely adorable and as a baby is a blank slate and will become what you train him to be. If you are looking for a fantastic companion that will brighten the greyest of days, please review our adoption policies below and download our adoption application here: www.rezqdogs.org/adopt Adoption Policies: 1. All of the dogs (and cats) adopted from RezQ Dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, and microchipped prior to adoption. Many of the dogs also received additional veterinary care if needed. 2. RezQ Dogs houses its dogs in private foster homes and at our facility which is open by appointment only. We do require an approved application on file prior to scheduling a meet and greet with the dog. At that point, the adopters can take the dog home. 3. Adoption fees are as follows: - $125 for dogs over 1 year of age - $150 for dogs under 1 year of age - $75 for cats 4. While RezQ Dogs does allow out of state adoptions, we do limit the distance between the potential adopters and our location in Dodson, MT, to within a 12 hour drive. 5. Due to our limited staff and volunteers, RezQ Dogs is unable to transport dogs to their forever homes or meet adopters part way. RezQ Dogs does not ship dogs via airlines or ground transportation. We ask the adopters to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption rather than having someone pick up the dog for them in order to ensure the right fit for both humans and dogs. 6. Please download our adoption application here: www.rezqdogs.org/adopt , fill it out, and email it to adoptions.rezqdogs@gmail.com Make sure your application is complete and all of the phone numbers are provided as INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered. You will not be contacted if any information on the application is missing. We simply lack the manpower and time to track down the information we ask for in the first place. 7. RezQ Dogs makes every effort to reply to adoption inquiries and process applications within 1 week of receiving them.

    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Male Male
    Location: Surprise , AZ
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (medium coat). Luther was originally sold as a wolf dog. even though he appears to be nothing more than a malamute. He does have some behavior issues going into a new home. He is shy, and a bit intrusting of strangers. He doesn't like tonride in the car but would get over that if it meant going fornnice hikes and walks I'm sure. He has come a long way in the 2 months he has been here. no longer as fearful, and no interest in leaving, he will do will with People who have a small pack of dogs. he loves dogs. he will challenge large male dogs his own size bracket still. he doesn't like Smiley the lab or my large male service dog. He is fine with smaller dogs, females and he loves puppies even sharing his food with them. All in all he is a nice dogsbody will require a littlenit of adjustment time going into a new home. He has been crated successfully in some crates but unsuccessfully in others. he can ride in the car but can get a little nervous at first, I think once he gets to know a family and feels he belongs, much of this behavior will no longer happen. please contact the rescue at 602-689-8506 or at pangaya@msn.com for more info about Luther

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: Memphis, TN
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (long coat). Thanks for choosing rescue! ☺ Roxy is an 4 year old old Alaskan Malamute. She is housebroken, crate trained, loves children, cats and other dogs. She does play to rough for toddlers or really toy size breeds. She is a BIG puppy that does not know her own size or strength. She LOVES to run and romp! She needs a forever home that has the time and patience to do obedience training with her and then she will be the best forever dog! Roxy is a cuddler! All of our rescues are temperament tested around children of all ages, small and large dogs and cats. They all have basic training, IE; sit; down, come and walking on a lead. We are not a shelter, we are a rescue and all of our rescued dogs are kept in individual foster/volunteers homes. This gives them sometimes their first taste of having a family and being part of that family. Also, it provides us with the understanding of each individual rescue to match them to your family lifestyle and dynamics. As soon as we receive your application back, we will phone you to set up a home visit/meet & greet. If you are out of our area, we would request another rescue and/or veterinary office complete the home visit. All the vetting below is completed prior to adoptions. Also, completed prior to adoptions are heartworm treatments as needed, any medical conditions treated (IE; allergies, demedex, etc.) and any surgeries for dogs coming into the rescue injured (IE; car accidents, etc.). Below is the vetting that all of our rescues receive prior to adoption. We only pull dogs from shelters and approximately 80% of our rescues come into the rescue heartworm positive. Those rescues are treated for heartworms prior to adoption. Vetting; adults; 1~7/1's DA2PPvL Booster 7/1 30 days after arriving DA2PPvL puppies; 3~7/1's DA2PPvL Booster 7/1 @ 6 months DA2PPvL adults & puppies; bordetello vaccine rabies vaccine & tag microchip & tag Pyrantel (twice) heartworm tested @ 6 months or older fecal tested Spayed/Neutered Heartworm Preventative (every month they are in rescue) Flea preventative (every month they are in rescue) New collar & tags 30 days complimentary Pet Insurance FROMM'S Salmon & Vegie I have attached an application if you would like to start the application process. Or you can go to our Petango page and fill out the application there; http://www.petango.com/hoganshuskyheroes . We do complete home visits prior to being approved. They are not designed to turn adopters down, but to point out safety issues for this breed. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    rescue
    Breed: Alaskan Malamute
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: Westminster, MD
Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute / Feist (medium coat). All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. Echo is a sweet, calm 8 yr old Malamute. She is a small girl, weighing in at only 44lbs. Echo is looking for her bucket list buddy .She had bone cancer in her leg and walked around the streets in NC for several months with her leg broke in several places until she came to us at Wolf Spirit Sled Dog rescue. We had her leg amputated and gave her a year longer to enjoy a happy life. She is at the moment a happy active girl that loves car rides and walks. Her chest x-rays are clear. She is also heart worm positive we are doing the slow-kill treatment on her to rid her of those. She would really like a loving home to call her own for what time she has left. Echo is house broke, doesn't seem to mind cats that i have noticed, doesn't mind other dogs as long as they are gentle. We know how hard it is to lose a friend but she would really love a home of her own.E cho is up to date on her vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. We will send 6 months of heartworm treatment with her. She will need another heartworm test in 6 months which we will pay for. If interested in Echo please contact Debbie at janrose@swva.net

Posted Breed: Alaskan Malamute (long coat). Please note we do NOT adopt to homes with small animals including small dogs. No Exceptions. Also Norsled does not adopt outside the Northern California/ Central California area. Malamute Kanook has excellent walking manners on his leash and loves riding in the car. His indoor doggy manners are improving quickly too - mostly because he aims to please. Kanook needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him (at least at first as he gets used to his new home) - he's happiest when he is by your side. Kanook does appear to have separation anxiety so would do best with someone who works from home or is retired.
