A mongrel, mixed-breed dog

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.

Redbone Coonhound

The Labralas is a mix between a Labrador Retriever and a Vizsla. This dog can have the temperament of either parent. Some are better than others.

Chesador

The Chesador is a cross between an Chesapeake Bay Retriever and a Labrador Retriever. The Chesador is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Chesapeake Bay Retriever and a Labrador Retriever. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Chesador are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.

The Havanese is a small dog with lots of hair, including a tail that curls up over its back. It is affectionate and happy, making it a great family companion.

The French Bulldog is low key and enjoys lots of activity. He's well suited for either family living or attaching to just one special person. He can be a great watchdog, although will bark only when there is a real need.
