A mongrel, mixed-breed dog

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.

The Greyhounds are the fastest breed and require lots of outdoor activity. They're a great family members, enjoying lots of attention and affection from all.

Plott Hound

The Plott hound was bred by the Plott family beginning in the mid 1700s. The breed was used for tracking raccoons and bear in the mountains. The breed is seen only in the eastern USA and is generally used by hunters.

The Bullboxer Pit is a cross between an Boxer and a American Pit Bull Terrier. The Bullboxer Pit is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Boxer and a American Pit Bull Terrier. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Bullboxer Pit are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.
