Cane Corso

Italian Mastiff

The Cane Corso is an old breed, dating back to the Roman Empire. They are excellent protectors, hunters and companions. They are used as guard dogs and in law enforcement. Only an experienced dog owner should choose this breed.

French Bulldog

The French Bulldog is low key and enjoys lots of activity. He's well suited for either family living or attaching to just one special person. He can be a great watchdog, although will bark only when there is a real need.

The Labrador Retriever is probably America's favorite dog. He is playful (well into his adult years) and is often seen as a lifelong friend.

Doxle

The Doxle is a mix of the Beagle and Dachshund. The dog can have the characteristics or temperament of either breed.

The Lab-Pointer is a cross between an Labrador Retriever and a Pointer. The Lab-Pointer is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Labrador Retriever and a Pointer. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Lab-Pointer are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
