Posted Breed: Poodle (unknown type) / Schnauzer / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: 180. {s3829code380/} If you would like to provide this dog a loving home, please fill out a pre-adoption application. Have a question? Please read our Frequently Asked Questions and Adoption Processed Explained documentation. Statistics Name: Bo-Bear Breed: Schnauzer - Poodle Mix (Schnoodle) Age: 11 Years Size: Small 13 lbs. ~Small range: Up to 25 lbs Adoption Donation: $180 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip, NO Children Bo-Bear is cute! Look at his cute ears! Foster Home Feedback * NO Children 1/10/19: The records from Bo-Bear's past life indicate that he's 11 years old, but he doesn't know that and you won't believe it either! This little guy is full of spunk and character! Bo-Bear enjoys going for walks and will bounce straight up in the air like he has springs in his feet when it's meal-time. Bo-Bear absolutely loves toys and it's his passion in life to destroy them, hence his nickname "Bo-Bear the Destroyer!" The good news is that he hasn't destroyed anything that wasn't a dog toy. So no shoes or pillows or anything else, have been lost. He somehow even knows which toys are his and which ones are the cats' toys. Bo-Bear also doesn't ingest the shrapnel that he creates and he lets me take the toy away from him without issue. He does really want to get it back from you, so he would do best in a home without kids, as his play/destroy mode is quite intense. Bo-Bear has been around dogs from his size, up to a Great Dane and done well with them all. He will bark at other dogs we encounter on walks though, so we are trying to work on that. He also lives with two cats and co-exists with them nicely. He doesn't really seem to care much about them, but he will pillage their litter-box when you're not looking. Bo-Bear currently lives in an apartment and does well. He's perfectly crate-trained, but I now leave him out with my dog when I'm gone and he hasn't gotten into any trouble. I do come home to let them out at noon, as I work 10 hour days. He is potty trained, but he has only been neutered for a month, so if we go to other people's homes to visit, he does wear a belly band to prevent marking. Bo-Bear will let out a bark or two if there's commotion outside the door and if the door-bell rings, he'll bark until you open the door, but then greats visitors with excitement, not out of fear or aggression. Bo-Bear is also a really good cuddle buddy. He loves sitting on your lap while you're watching tv. In fact, he's curled up next to me on the couch as I type this on my laptop. All in all, Bo-Bear is a great little dog, and he'll make a wonderful companion. Just don't expect him to act his age! Breed: Great Pyrenees-Unknown Mix

    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Newfoundland Dog / Great Pyrenees / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 180. {s3829code380/} If you would like to provide this dog a loving home, please fill out a pre-adoption application. Have a question? Please read our Frequently Asked Questions and Adoption Processed Explained documentation. Statistics Name: Edna Breed: Newfoundland Dog - Great Pyrenees Mix Age: 10 Months (DOB: 2/18/18) Size: Extra Large (Once fully grown) ~Extra Large range: 101+ lbs Adoption Donation: $180 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip, Older considerate children Edna is dog-friendly! Foster Home Feedback * NO Cats; Fenced yard is required * Edna is a Pyrénées & Newfoundland cross. Before applying, please read about both breeds. 1/10/19: Edna has made tremendous progress while she has been with us. She now enjoys her time in the crate, she loves people and being around them. Over Christmas, she made friends with all of our guests and has zero fears of people using walkers. She is really coming out of her shell. We are so impressed. Edna loves to wrestle with her foster sibling (a Newfoundland) who is close in age. She even tries to play with the old lady Chihuahua of the house. Edna would fit well in a home with an extremely social non-dominant dog. She loves to play, we love her dearly. If you think you could be the right home for Edna, please apply. 11/3/18: Edna is a sweet gal who is strong-willed, affectionate, and has a desire to protect her home, more specifically her yard. Full of tail wags and belly crawls. She can be fearful of new experiences and will require lots of socialization, and continued development to get her past this issue. She also has difficulties crossing doorways into new territory so an open floor plan is ideal but not required. Edna has very mild resource guarding so there will be extra steps involved in her care. Edna is young and with the right foundation work, she should easily excel. Her ideal family would be a couple with another very playful dog that exudes confidence but she is open to other possibilities. Edna enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes. Edna enjoys a baby pool. She has an only child mentality and will not share items that she values. No cats. A fenced yard is required. No small children (they will need to be old enough to be able to understand the rules and training of resource guarding). Some things about adopting a giant dog to consider: Edna is a deep chested breed, so just like any giant dog, she is prone to bloat. Giant breed dogs mean higher vet bills, surgery costs, and food bills. She is not a dog that should be adopted by a family who is looking for a running companion. During the first 24 months, great care should be given to ensure proper bone and muscle development. Because she is fluffy, she is sooo fun to cuddle but will also need daily brushing and frequent professional grooming. There will also be a timeframe of each year where she will explode off of her and cleaning will become a little more time-consuming. Edna is a double coated breed so shaving should not occur. Edna is a very intelligent dog but with Pyrénées seeming to be her ruling breed she is very opinionated and stubborn and will require lots of positive reinforcement training. She is a vigilant guard dog. In her role as protector, she exercises a large bark. We have noticed this can occur at odd hours of the night, as that is when she is on high alert. Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer-Red Heeler Mix

    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer / Red Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200.00. Welcome Benji to Diamond in the Ruff! Benji is a sweet German Shorthair Pointer mix who has the cute spots and all. He had a DNA test done in his previous home, so we got a little insight on his possible breed. Benji lives in a home with other dogs and cats. He definitely would need dog-savvy cats in his future home, or one without, as this boy loves to play and doesn't discriminate against his playmates. We would love for Benji's forever home to be one that has knowledge on this breed, as he is a high energy breed and truly needs someone who understands his needs. Benji would love a running partner who can dedicate time to making sure he is physically and mentally stimulated! He is such a sweet boy, truly dedicated to his family, and loves to be loved. We have learned that Benji has a pretty soft mouth, so someone willing to do training with him or even agility would be an extra bonus! If you think you're the right fit, please apply today!

Have a question? Please read our Frequently Asked Questions and Adoption Processed Explained documentation. Statistics Name: Draven Breed: Boxer - Shepherd Mix Age: 1.5 Years Size: Large lbs. ~Large range: 61-100 lbs Adoption Donation: $180 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip Draven would like to have your attention and to share your home as his own. Foster Home Feedback 1/3/19: Draven is still doing great. We trimmed his nails recently and he did spectacular! No aggression at all; only issue we had was trying to keep him still because he wanted to play. He gets along very well with all my other dogs. Sometimes he doesn’t like to share his toys but does fine as long as play is supervised. His favorite things in the world are: balls, puzzle toys (he’s so smart!), and sticks, which he is somehow able to find even under all the snow. Draven loves to play and can play all day. He especially loves to play outside with his dog friends. He plays chase with them very nicely and never gets too rough. After Draven is played out, he likes to come snuggle on the couch and take a good snooze. 12/9/18: Draven is great! He’s doing amazing with all my dogs (so many friends to play with!), even cranky Meekah. She gave him a teeth growl and he took the hint and has not tried to play with her since! He plays aaaall day long, but I don’t find that he’s “too much” because he plays so nicely with the other dogs or if they are not interested, he will play with toys all by himself. No potty accidents and he has not chewed on anything he wasn't supposed to or tried to take things off the counter. He leaves all the Christmas decorations alone. Draven takes treats very gently and so far we know he can sit, shake, and lay down. He kennels up very nicely for a treat and does not cry or bark once he’s there. Draven isn’t food or resource aggressive at all, in fact, he’s always bringing toys to the other dogs to try to convince them to play. Overall Draven is a super good boy! Statistics Name: Ariel Breed: Lhasa Apso Age: 7.5 Years Size: Small 10 lbs. ~Small range: Up to 25 lbs Adoption Donation: $180 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip, Older considerate children only * Ariel would benefit from a home where her people are home most of the time, she gets very nervous when left alone! * Ariel is on a daily medication for anxiety. These medications run about $23.00 per month. Ariel is very sweet and just a chill gal in the car. Foster Home Feedback * Older considerate children only 10/4/18: Ariel has been in our home nearly six months and we can’t believe she's still here! She has come a long way since her first day. She has learned that it’s ok to be alone for a little while. Even though she still barks and will whine a bit when we leave, she doesn’t rip anything apart and stays in the kitchen where she has free roam. We do not kennel her as that seems to send her anxiety into overdrive. We do leave her kennel door open and she knows that’s her safe place. She seems to spend most of her time there during the day as she will go in it when we leave for work and she runs out of it when I get home. Ariel has become very attached to me and LOVES to go in the car on little trips with me rather than staying home with my husband. She does not like to be picked up, so she wouldn’t do well in a home with small children who want to hold her. Honestly...Ariel would love a home where she can attach herself to “her person” and just hang out without too much activity. She does take anxiety meds every day to help her a little bit with being left at home. She doesn’t like thunderstorms and will let you know one is coming before it even gets here! She’s like our very own meteorologist! Even with all that, she is still such a sweet girl and we love having her in our home. Ariel definitely brings a smile to our face. 5/24/18: So...a few things we've noticed with this little princess as she becomes more comfortable in our home. Ariel likes to lay in her kennel as long as the door is open. She doesn't use the potty pads unless she gets particularly stressed (like thunderstorms when we aren't home). She also does NOT like to be picked up and carried, so small kids are probably not the best option for her. She is a sweet girl who will come to you in her own time when she feels comfortable. Ariel will do best in a home that will be patient with her and let her come to you on her own. She just needs time to adjust. Ariel is an absolute sweetheart and just wants a low-stress home to hang out it. 4/30/18: Meet Ariel....no, not the mermaid but I promise she's just as sweet. Ariel came to our home scared and anxious but she has come a long way in the couple months she's been here. She does not like to be locked in a kennel but has finally become comfortable enough to go in with the door open to take her naps. We let her run free in the kitchen while we're at work. Ariel has adjusted well to this arrangement and everyone seems to be happy. Ariel does take anxiety meds that have really helped her relax while we are away at work. I feel Ariel would be a great fit in any loving home, but she would really love spending as much time as possible with "her person." She does great with older kids who won't pick her up and doesn't give the cat the time of day. Oh!...And did I mention she is ADORABLE?? Will you give her chance to steal your heart?
