Bull-Pei

The Bull-Pei is a cross between an Bulldog and a Chinese Shar-Pei. The Bull-Pei is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Bulldog and a Chinese Shar-Pei. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Bull-Pei are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.

The Bulloxer is a cross between a Boxer and Bull Terrier. They are generally good tempered and make good companions.

The Saluki is a very well behaved dog indoors, but needs a lot of serious exercise outdoors. This is a very fast breed with an independent nature, very devoted to his owner and willing to learn with patient training.

Chug

The Chug is a mix between the Chihuahua and the Pug. Both breeds need to be near their owners. Chugs are best for owners who are home most of the day.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.

Plott Hound

The Plott hound was bred by the Plott family beginning in the mid 1700s. The breed was used for tracking raccoons and bear in the mountains. The breed is seen only in the eastern USA and is generally used by hunters.

Border Collie

The Border Collie enjoys working; if not actually herding sheep, he needs to be in the company of an athletic owner who will allow him to work out often. He's intelligent and eager to please, so makes a fine companion for active and attentive owners.
